  • is the art by jean giraud? (moebius)

  • The art is by GB Hajim, the director and writer of the film. Moebius announced the production of strange frame, provided feedback, and designed a poster you can see on the Facebook page.

  • Personally, I couldnt picture strange frame being done any other way. The story is amazing on its own, but to be animated in such a vivid and unique way just brings it home. To think that something this innovative is being made in Hawaii for under 3 million dollars is really inspiring (at least it is for me).

Glad to hear you like the story idea. If youd like to learn more or get a better look at the animation, you can check it out at the website.

  • Thanks =). More are on their way.

  • BTW I saw another piece of this animation on their FB page. Awe inspiring. Probably some of the most innovative and stylistically unique animation to come from the U.S. in a long time. The luscious luminosity is amazing. Like watching a gorgeous dancer at a strip club under colored lights and lasers.

Skip their website though- nice art, but a PitA to navigate. Join their FB page instead.

Much easier to find stuff and updated more regularly.

  • I totally agree.

  • Cute kid. Excellent animation. This is the heir apparent to the original Heavy Metal movie (not that f.u.s. they made in 2000) Probably the most dense cut out style animation ever done IMHO. Counting the days till I can see it in theatrical glory.
