@browny646 Thanks Browny... You've really added to the conversation, and got in 6 months too late.
Thanks for your advice too. It would have been good to know that 7 years ago, but I've had some experience now in various units, and I don't need the badly spelled advice of a maybe enlisted man. I have had a very good rapport with my subordinates, and I've also had some run in's with them over the years, but I am not new to the job, and I don't need your sarcastic advise.

@1027rsar hahaha fucking officers think they know everything thats why the army has experienced soldiers to show the officers where they are going wrong. i think you need to learn fast or the boys will teach you fast. what they show you at military colledge isnt always the way its done when you get to the units.

@Carpo856 It was a mod for Arma 1. It's a video to show off their F88 in game. The mod was abandoned however, and the team have instead gone for Arma 2 to make the mod instead.

Are the images and graphics of this video based on anything in particular? i.e. Is this from a video game or is it a part a of training sim or is it simply a home grown display? I just hope that this isn't a typical training sim because if it is, it just shows how our troops are being sold short once again.

@Blandy086 If you think you're going to become an officer you need to learn fast. An officer is not the friend of the soldiers, he doesn't need to be liked. I honestly don't care what soldiers think of me. I have a job to do, with its own set of criteria and standards that I am judged by. You don't have to be liked to be an effective operator.

@Blandy086 I know what weapon systems were withdrawn from service in 1988. The Australian Army Cadets had to exchange their SLR's for F88's in 2001 anyway, and they were the last of them floating around except for the Federation Guard.

@1027rsar also a famous quote amongst the army "A Sgt.'s job is to protect the men from the Officers and the Officers from themeselves" well it was popular back then atleast i am sure the boys have come up with more since then.
-
@1027rsar however would it not be fair to say that you do not know the inventory of every base and reserve squadron in Australia, so how is it that you know me to be fraudulent... but i can understand your position as i have heard people claiming to be in SASR at 22 years old and that pissed me off, so like i said, i know what i know you know what you know... lets leave it at that then because this really is pointless.
-
@Blandy086 I don't like frauds. That is how I can and will question your credibility.

@1027rsar also i corrected my "americanism"... "pips" and i was not aware you were on night rotations... so i stand corrected there and i admit it.
