As 2011 rounds the bend into its final quarter, Betamorph Recordings, is beyond proud to bless the Dubstep Universe with a collection of remixes on the theme, "Ganja" by British Columbia's own Badmen, Kaylan Barratt & Levi Nicoll. Orbatak's original theme has inspired 8 different interpretations which showcases the liquid styling of Dubstep heavies such as DZ, Liquid Stranger, Ganja White Night, D-Jahsta, and Doug Surreal to name a few. This collection of "Ganja Remixes" is unique in that it is a collaborative project in its nature, heavily influenced by the energies of both Betamorph Recordings and Canadian powerhouse, Badman Press (Beta Farm Recordings). As varied as the different iterations of reality, each version casts a unique light on the theme, giving the D.J. a range of options when deciding which mood to lay down next. While some follow and expand on the very traditional nature of dub music with its deep layered echoes, and samples, others completely veer from the traditional and explode into dance floor destroyers at the first break. Each track on this E.P. is representative of the excellent skill and effort put forth on behalf of both labels and the artists involved in its conception. It is Existential Badbwoy Dub at its finest and Betamorph Recordings is brimming with pride at the release of the "Ganja" remixes.
