How about your hand doing the work moron? That flashlight has an end point for the squeeze and beyond that point it's your hand that does the work. For how long would you be able to keep pushing that weight?

Everybody seems to be missing the power source, gravity, the flashlight starts the motion and the pendulum partially isolates it. Anyone who thinks that gravity violates conservation of energy probably also thinks the planets do not orbit and the world is flat. These pendulums work in the same vein as the large gyroscopic precession generators, tapping into force that we ignore because we take it for granted.
