  • Beautiful boards by Mr Lord but over sung!

  • this song with whitesnake is the thing is the crying is the heart and love and all of you should put it in instrumental but whitesnake playing and I need sing and record with my voice is similar to coverdale

  • @ballyrotter agreed. I only bought that compilation for this song, and it wasn't this beautiful original! Got the single somewhere though.

  • Someone should have been castrated for including the 1987 version of this on the Slide It In anniversary edition instead of this Lord version. I can barely listen to the '87 version without cringing at the parpy keyboard that replaced the Hammond. Ludicrous.

  • Its not a hammond - they recorded this (Jon Lord and David Coverdale) in a church - this is a one take, recording with basic mics if I'm right. beautiful accoustics... (and great song, of course)

  • this is soooooooooooooooo beautifull

  • Many Many thanks for posting this!! I used to hunt high and low for WS rare tracks and b-sides during the early 90's and loved the '87 version though never got to hear this '84 gem!

I had the UK and US versions of Slide it in on LP but never got to get 'Slide it in' on tape as this was the bonus track...

I want to hear the '88 remix of 'Give me all your love' again as it had a different guitar solo on it that wasn't on the album. Used to have it on 7"..

    Many thanks...I wish you well..

  • This was the version I was looking for ! Is it with Jon Lord on Hammond organ? It's such a breathtaking recording! Incredible!
