British composer and conductor Angela Morley produced a memorable soundtrack for this animated 1978 movie based on the excellent Richard Adams book. Morley took on the task of scoring Watership Down when orginal choice Malcolm Williamson became too ill to complete the film's score. The film score was nominated as one of the 10 best film scores of 1978. Morley, who sadly passed away in 2009, also scored the soundtrack to the 1976 british musical The Slipper and the Rose
