@Neylonx actually, in some cases guns with what you mistakenly call excessive power are banned. look at kalifornia, where all weapons chambered in .50 BMG are banned. and there are idiots who drive at high speeds, speeds way over the speed limit, regardless of what car they are in. you, sir, are ridiculous. Who are you to tell me that my right to defend myself is outdated? please, this kind of thinking is very dangerous.

@ledzeppelinrools thats a pretty bad analogy, cars travelling above the speed limit are breaking the law, guns with excessive power and range aren't.

and honestly, i have no idea why my fiesta can travel at 110mph, i can understand supercars that their owners can take to a track but nobody wants to do that in a small car.

@Neylonx maybe that's because they are, as you put it, cool. they are a modern mechanical marvel, just like a car that goes over the speed limit. why would you need one, that just means that you are looking to break the law by owning a car that goes over the speed limit. and since people are killed much more with cars than with guns it stands to your logic that we should therefore ban cars. that is basically what you are saying.
