Deuteronomy was a book of commandments to the First Temple, and was specifically directed at the Jews of Israel. The laws of Deuteronomy and Leviticus have no place in our society today. We do not allow for slaves. We do not treat women as second-class citizens. We do not condemn men for eating pork, nor do we stone bankers for charging interest. Jesus, in the New Testament, never says anything about witchcraft or homosexuality or other "sins" that the modern church rails about today. You fail.

Umm...someone hasn't done very much research. You say your scriptures where written by the Holy Ghost? NO. They were written by flea-ridden bald men in the 1200s.

And, considering that Christianity has taken a lot of their material from Paganism, I'd say you should stop this hypocrisy now. I'll give examples.

1) The days of the week are named after other gods - Sunday is the Sun God, Monday the Moon, Tuesday = Tiwaz, Wednesday = Woden, Thursday = Thor, Friday = Freya, Saturday = Saeture.

@preachhellsfire and I'd like to see how you celebrate Christmas, would it be with a tree, candles, presents, a feast, wine, joy, songs? All of these are PAGAN...i.e, not only Scandinavian (Yule, which is on the 21st) but also, Saturnalia, which was celebrated on the 25th of December. Oh and just so you know, the Christian holy day was originally on Saturday, but when Emperor Constantine legalised Christianity he made it Sunday (a Pagan Roman holy day) to appease the masses.

@preachhellsfire mm Karma.. something bad happens if you are a bad person, something good happens if you are a good person. You mean like errm Going to hell is you're bad and heaven if you're good? I have several Christian friends, a Toaist and I myself am Pagan, so I am certainly not single minded, and calling paganism and the like 'New age' is not strictly true, as, for example, the aspect of Paganism in which I believe in is 3,000 years older than Christianity.
