After John McCain, John Boehner, Eric Cantor and the House GOP blamed Pelosi's supposedly partisan speech for derailing the bailout, Arizona Republican Congressman John Shadegg calls that a "stupid claim."
MSNBC, 9/30/08:
Joe Scarborough: Let's bring in Republican Arizona Representative John Shaddegg. Did you vote against this bill because your feelings were hurt by Barney Frank or Nancy Pelosi?
John Shadegg: No, I didn't. It was a stupid speech by her. They didn't move any votes.
Joe Scarborough: Was Boehner wrong?
John Shadegg: Yes. It was embarrassing for leadership on both parties to lose the bill so they made a stupid claim.
McCain would beat some serious ass of this bitch

Incorect....check the market record...the market went down prior to the vote and dropped another 260 points after the vote...so ask your self why...Why and who would drive the Finance market prior to a "Quote" expected passage on the Bailout?
Only large Hedge Funds have that Power.

The no vote sent it down 700 points. News of efforts to revive the bill sent the market up 500. Conspiracy theories attract people would want the world to make sense in a way they can understand. They aren't smart enough to understand how the market works.
