Many false Christians misuse this verse especially on patriotic holidays like Memorial Day to suggest that going to war and killing and dying for your government is something that Christians must do because Jesus said it.

Jesus was referring to His death for us, He was the One laying down His life for us, Anyone who says that any person can kill or die for another person is misusing the Word of God.

That's not the truth at all. Christ said those that live by the sword will die by the sword. He said to love our enemies. Christ never taught the apostles or others to use violence. You will answer to God for taking his word out of context. You also cannot be an anarchist and say you're a Christian. A Christian obeys authority unless that authority wants you to do something that is against God.

Great Message. Awesome Video. Jesus Christ said it was a sin to NOT physically defend one's self and others. Christ talked about selling one's coat in order to to buy a sword. In today's terms, that would be a gun.

Sadly most people don't appreciate Him/Her and live life like it is meaningless. They focus on the negative and squander their truly holy gift. You can read the best scriptures by studying nature, which is directly from our creator, unlike the polluted text shoved down our throats by egoist and sexually repressed pedophiles preaching. If you cling to man made scripture and ignore nature then you're still operating from a place of ignorance and indoctrination.
