People who have never been to Tokyo are often surprised to learn that the city is teeming with nature and wildlife. Sure, the Tokyo skyline is high-tech and futuristic, often resembling a scene from "Blade Runner." But there is still plenty of nature to enjoy, as we see in this 60-second video taken along Shinobazu Pond in Ueno.

I am going to Tokyo soon for the first time to visit my brother who is over there working for a Japanese company. Your video really resonated with me. I'd like to find a bit of wildness and serenty in Tokyo. Any recommendations for a novice traveller who doesn't speak a word of Japanese? I'm only going to be there for a week and I'm on kind of a low budget, but I'm happy just bringing back home some simple memories.

That's unfortunate. I haven't heard many positive things about living in that city. In that case it may be safe to try looking at different state for now. A vacation to a place to see where you might want to live is a good thing to think about in the future. :)
