Rap has lost is message. So, as I said, it's just music. Gone are the days of Chuck's droppin' tangible knowledge.

@Vospader21 My parents raised me right, I came from a swear free household, and didn't hear a rap song until my freshman year in high school. By that time I knew better then to curse in front of my family, or authority figures. So I got my Dre, Em, and Lupe, on nicely. Eventually I even learned how to rap and my parents loved it and encouraged it even though they themselves aren't rap fans.

I don't think rapper's are to blame if their music screws up the minds of the kids that listen to it. Parents should be more diligent about what they're kids listen to. If a kid in 2nd grade here's a rapper say "fuck you and yo weak ass crew" he's gonna remember it cause it rhymes, remember little kids love rhymes even if they don't know what the words mean so they're gonna say it cause they don't know better.

@julioberina that is not hip hop that is rap trash they are not one in the same! a true hip hop head would know this!

As a log-time hip hop head I would personally prefer hip hop to be poison.
We need less art and more danger and hostility in these times.

which year is this from?

@ptd1069 At the end of the day its not JUST music. It s a culture that affects the way neighborhoods are run.

At the end of the day, it's just music. Music generally has had messages thru the years. Again, very soon, there will be a new style with some old messages, some new and some the same...Chuck spoke many truths. Relax, it's only art with words.
