I had my inguinal hernia successfully operated, here in St'go, Chile. Not quite sure which method the surgeon applied, but heard him mentioning "plastilla" surgery.
Would anyone of you experts know more about it? Now, 45 days after the surgery, all I can feel to the touch is that it feels like a string with knots (the knots are nearer the shaft of the penis), because the knots are where the opening tissues are attached to the muscle tissue.
My son currently has an inguinal hernia and is about to have surgery to correct it. Thank you very much for the explanation of what has happened to him.
i just had surgery for mine last week. I feel the tube now that the doc is refering to. my hernia never hurt or bother me ever. it just stuck out and i didnt like the way it looked. now i'm stuck at home staring at my road bike waiting to heal so i can resume my physical activity. boo!
My boy had an inguinal hernia which was discovered when he was just 7 weeks old. His intestine was going into the opening so had surgery at 3 months to fix it. The surgery was so quick and he was in recovery before I'd even gotten back to his room after taking into him theater. Now aged 8, even the scar can't be seen anymore.
