Crash Solberg et Al Qassimi WRC Rallye Finlande 2010

Gros crashes pour Henning Solberg (Ford) durant la 8e spéciale du Rallye de Finlande 2010 ainsi que pour Khalid Al Qassimi (Ford) durant la 7e spéciale. Le coéquipier de Solberg, Matthew Wilson, occupe la 6e place à la fin du deuxième jour, devant le champion du monde Juha Kankkunen qui effectue une pige en WRC.

ya, now that I listened to it very closely the mappers kinds did say right as the driver was turning a highspeed left... my bad... but it still is a shame if you ask me...

@mrexon It's dangerous when the map reader is in charge of the wheel while not holding it.

@mrexon That changes nothing. That isn't car driving. The map reader is there so save time from driver control.

@teemuruskeepaa Not so, they always do the slow runs before the rally to do a visual mapping of the course... All the really great rally men/women know the roads like the back of their hand But id say when the clay gets wet in a counter banked turn, that's when problems happen... I am still saddened to hear the crowd cheering as the second car is flipping over side ways from it getting rear end wobbly traction and veers off course.

Poor guys... I love rally...But I am a fan that hates it when they crash... At least there are people like me out there that when they watch speedtv and some one crashes on a intense run Like Mcree days, I some times can shed a tear in those cases because you wounder what the time slip would have said if they made it to the end of that stage with out DNF'ing.... Sorry guys, you will have the next day in your favor... just sleep it off and keep trucking for the check points....

The reason for the crash is not driver error. It is the map reader, since the driver don't have a feeling to the road anymore. They are using the map reader to tell the driver how to drive before the driver can see it.
