http://www.premierguitar.com PG's Rebecca Dirks is On Location in Anaheim, CA, where she visits the Ernie Ball Music Man booth. In this segment, we get to check out the JPX - John Petrucci's new signature axe. To commemorate his 10th Anniversary with Music Man, they built the JPX which features a new body shape that has a slightly thinner upper horn and a more symmetric bridge end profile. The body is also chambered for added acoustic resonance. It features alder body, maple top and mahogany Tone Block. It has a mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, custom John Petrucci Music Man® Piezo floating tremolo and 1 DiMarzio Liquifire - neck; 1 DiMarzio Crunch Lab bridge; Piezo bridge pickup.

  • @ibanez33150 I love Rebecca Dirks!

  • hahahaha i thought she said rebecca derps

  • i need a plum crazy challenger to go with that!!!!!

  • I can hear a Stingray being slapped in the background

  • @ryguyrocker @ 0:55 it shows the head stock area with no locking nut. So unless they have some oddball locking mechanism at the bridge it looks like you can tune freely like a basic flush Fender Strat trem.

  • @dickdog1 bass wood has different species. don't get excited over companies trying to over rate their mahogany or alder. Basswood can actually sound really good if its from the right species and aged enough.

  • when you can see the cameraman in your guitar, you have a SHINEY guitar

  • do u have to set the bridge up like a floyd rose?

  • Why ASSwood? That kills the deal. I would never own an Basswood guitar.

If Petrucci is really using Basswood, he would sound better with Alder or Mahogany.

  • on the site it says its a locking trem. does that mean its like a floyd where u have to adjust springs and stuff of can i just tune freely?
