Alzheimer's Society supporter Lynda Bellingham tells us why she supports the Society, and why she encouraged people to take part in Memory Walk 2010.

Memory Walk is Alzheimer's Society's biggest annual fundraiser and a great opportunity to have a fun day out with friends and family.

This year thousands of people took part in Memory Walk around the country, raising money to support people with dementia and their carers.

For more information on Memory Walk please visit http://www.memorywalk.org.uk or call 0870 417 0192.

There are more than 750,000 people in the UK affected by dementia with numbers set to rise to 1 million by 2021. More than half of these have Alzheimer's disease.

Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia and those who care for them.
