16. Hindrances to Prayer
Key verses:
"If I have sin in my heart, the Lord will not hear me." Psalm 66:18
"You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives." James 4:2-3
Key Points:
• God does hear and answer our prayer. The answer is not always "yes", and sometimes what you pray for might take a while.
• Sometimes God waits for us to confess our sin before He will answer our prayer. Other times, he won't answer our prayer because we ask with the wrong motive. Many times God wants to give us our hearts desires but we don't ask!
