This is NOT from the "Live at the Paradiso 1969" CD. This sure sounds like Wyatt/Ratledge/Ayers for sure & the tune is "I Should've Known" - oddly enough written by Hugh Hopper but he was still a roadie at the time. There are two live versions of this on the Cuneiform CD "Middle Earth Masters" but neither is this rendition and my copy of the Gomelsky tapes is on vinyl which is still growing mold from the Federal Flood of 2005, but I don't think this is that either . . . sounds like 1967/8.
I was there in Paradiso when the Soft Machine played there. However, I can't remember the date.

Wrong date. Kevin Ayers (on bass here) had left in 1968. Probably 67.
