Good video, but Japan was under the leadership of corrupt politicians?? Bro, it was a dictatorship. Emperor Hirohito was not a capitalist!?!
After 6 years of war, Europe lay in waste. The morale of the people was totally ravaged and it was clear that the Japanese, who were as fanatical as the taliban are today, were going to fight the allies for every pebble, every grain of sand in Asia. Japan occupied Korea, East China, Indonesia etc with many war crimes.
The bombs were a last resort.

(Part2)According to the American historian, Helen Mears, during the conference, the U.S got a secret of Russian intrigue which shows invading Japan even though Russia had already contracted the Soviet–Japanese Neutrality Pact with Japan. The U.S. was displeased with the idea because if Russia invaded Japan, communist Russia would control Japan, so the U.S dropped two atomic bombs to Japan to take an initiative for control Japan.
-
(Part1)Dropping atomic bombs was cause by Russia. The Yalta Conference was the February 4–11, 1945 wartime meeting of the heads of government of the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union—President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and General Secretary Joseph Stalin, respectively—for the purpose of discussing Europe's postwar reorganization.

Some foreigners wrote the Japanese rape stories in documents during the war. However, these cases were what these Westerners heard about from the Chinese. After Minnie Vautrin wrote it, Chinese officers were caught by police for rape crimes. This story was written in an article of the New York Times on January 4, 1938. After they were caught, conspicuous cases of rape, looting and other atrocities did not take place. Therefore, these crimes were definitely caused by the Chinese.

@undertakerRach Have I ever denied the exaggeration they have made for propaganda purposes? No. Does that give you the right the take this as a chance to whitewash the wrongdoings of the IJA not only in China, but in the Philippines, Singapore, Malasya, and everywhere else the empire extended? Of course not. It is not "the Japanese" who want to deny for ultranationalist purposes, only the uyo, so stop acting like if you were some sort of ambassador, you meaningless piece of shit. XD

@makokun9 How can Japanese admit the wrong history such as the Nanking Massacre? Analyzing Photographic “Evidence” of the Nanking Massacre by historians and other recent scientific research reveal that there are no photographs attesting to a massacre in Nanking. You know, at least 143 pictures are distorted by Chinese government.

@undertakerRach Uyo propaganda all over again. XD

(Part8) In conclusion, some historians and lawyers think the Tokyo Trial was something wrong. Japan doesn’t want to accuse the judgments this late. However, many Japanese are having mistakable criticisms from non-educated people sometimes. It is natural that Japanese raising an objection. The Tokyo Trial was called Victor’s Justice by some historians for these reasons.
-
(Part7)Therefore, Chinese government was absorbed in collecting proofs even during the trial. In other words, the Chinese government had already fixed the number of casualties into more than 340,000 before they began to collect the evidence. However, many Japanese were executed by the judge even though the Nanking Massacre was a fake story. Victor’s Nation has done the cruel acts during the war, but many Japanese have been executed by them. What was the Victor's justice?

@mi622na I've seen Grave of the Fireflies and thought that was an excellent movie. I have it on dvd. I've heard a lot of great things about Barefoot Gen. Both the manga and the anime. I'm a little light on my amazon.com credits. Once I get that straightened out, I'll certainly buy Barefoot Gen along with Texhnolyze. =)

It's because the 'intellect ideals' will never conquer 'physical reality.' For instance, take the walker. Yes, 'the pedestrian has the right of way' intellectually; but the semi bearing down on the walker has the right-of-way in physical reality ... All the 'right' in the world isn't going to 'save' the walker unless it moves HIM out of the SEMI's way.
Was it 'right' that we bombed Japan? Is it right that our streets are not made of gold? that we don't have angels' wings? No! but it's truth!

@mythmanjay True, we are flawed human beings. We live in a world where sin corrupts the human mind and human actions. It's a terrible thing that people had to die in that time, but that's how the world works. It's not our duty as flawed human beings to eradicate war and killing. We should do what we can to get rid of it, even if it means counter-violence. I agree with what you said.
