THE BATH SPA EXPRESS 5 Oct 2011 70000 Britannia 1Z87 & 1Z88

On a wet and windy day, Britannia hauls the Bath Spa Express pretty much on time from Poole to Bristol and back.

Even though it was murky and damp, my children and I enjoyed seeing Britannia as well as other steam trains running though Bradford on Avon in recent months.

It does seem however, that if the weather is miserable, as it was today, Britannia's whistle sounds a bit 'throaty', but as there wasn't a lot of people at the station as she went though, it was great to capture her without any obstructions.
