Testing the Cabir Bluetooth worm against two Symbian S60 3rd edition phones: Nokia E60 and Nokia E90.

There are important differences in how the user interface behaves when Cabir tries to beam itself over and over again.

Do note that Cabir is a 2nd edition Bluetooth worm and wouldn't be able to successfully infect these devices even if it were to be accepted.

  • Just to clarify, from the video info:

"Do note that Cabir is a 2nd edition Bluetooth worm and wouldn't be able to successfully infect these devices even if it would be accepted."

  • Excellent video once again :) Keep up the good work :) Where there any perticualr reason that you used the Nokia6630 as the virus spreader?

  • The 6630 just happened to be the closest 2nd edition phone in the lab.

As for the 3rd edition units, we probably should have used a Nokia E61 as the demo unit instead of E60 (which is much rarer than E61).
