What do the healer, the mystic, the psychic and the spy all have in common? They are all in touch with their non-local mind and our community of spirit. During the 1970's and 1980's, Stanford Research Institute (SRI) carried out investigations of our ability to experience and describe distant events blocked from ordinary perception. This intuitive capacity was named "remote viewing." The research was supported by the CIA and many other government organizations for gathering intelligence about world-wide activities during the Cold War.

Physicist Russell Targ, co-founder of this previously SECRET psychic research program - The Real X-Files - will describe the very best evidence for extrasensory perception, precognition, intuitive diagnosis and distant healing.

In the workshop, we will experience many of these applications, together with the spiritual implications of psychic abilities from the Hindu mystic Patanjali and the Dzogchen dharma masters as they might be applied to expanding our timeless and nonlocal awareness.

Finally, and most important, we will have lessons in remote viewing just as we did in the successful Stanford Research Institute program, and discuss how this awareness can lead to a discovery of who we really are. We will discuss how to recognize the actual psychic signal and separate it from the mental noise of memory, imagination, and analysis - and why we should bother with Extra Sensory Perception (ESP).

Russell Targ is a physicist and author who was a pioneer in the development of the laser and laser applications, and was co-founder of the Stanford Research Institute's investigation into psychic abilities in the 1970s and 1980s. His work in this new area, called remote viewing, has been widely published. His most recent book is: Do You See What I See: Memoirs of a Blind Biker. In 1997, Targ retired from Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Company as a senior staff scientist. He now pursues ESP research in Palo Alto, California, and is publishing special editions of classic books in psychical research.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Russell at a workshop he gave in 2011 in New York. Truly a lovely man - humble and most generous with his time, unlike what other presenters might do - he always joined us at meal time. He kept us all entertained with his many stories. If you get a chance be sure to attend his workshops.

I did it! Wow I drew a circle with points just like it and wrote the word ''has movement'' and put a squiggle thing in the middle of the circle. I felt metal cold to touch but didn't write it because I thought it was me thinking. Never thought i'd be close to being capable of this!
