  • Hi Blueandred, I don't know off of the top of my head how to change the letterbox color but I know that you can throw down a solid object and color it however you wish to cover the entire background including that would be letterboxed.

  • I don't believe you can archive your install to a disc. However you can always download it again from the app store if you need to.

  • Hi Jerad -

Downsampling from iPhoto or Aperture into iMovie has been adding unwanted pixilation.

Pro X clearly is doing ok with basic slide shows, and it says it will import from former iMovie projects. Does it have Ken Berns affects like iMovie - or what happens if that is imported?

Can it pull from Aperture too or just iPhoto?

  • @robertsIPlegal I am not sure. I have Aperture but have not yet tried this. It seems that there is no downsampling of photos when I pull them from iPhone. I wouldn't pull them from iPhone if the Import feature set the image time length like it should. Hopefully apple with fix these little annoyances over time.

  • hi how i include a video clip in my timeline? thanks for your help

  • @planks29 I posted a new video to my channel on that topic. I actually did it a while ago, sorry for not updating this comment.

  • Hi @jaredhill I have been trying to do this for days. This tutorial is great, but what size are your images pixels width, height and resolution? or does iPhoto resize them? I have wasted many discs only to find that my text is pixelated and so are my images? I originally had large files but then I resized them to 720 x 480. I need my slideshow to show on a large flat screen TV. Any help would be grateful to stop me from losing my mind.

  • Great Video, I was going to do another search on how to add video and still images. Great work thank you very much.

  • Thanks so much for this video, this helped me out so much. I spent about 3 hours trying to figure it out. Than I was like Duhhh youtube. lol

  • Hi, I made a photo slideshow on iMovie and tried importing it into FCPX, but only the video clips showed up and in place of the photos there was a red triangle with an exclamation point in the center of it. Do you know how I can import everything?

  • @jeradhill hi, how do you add a banner like thingy on the bottom to describe a picture? I can't seem to "mix" the banner and the picture together...

  • Your an amazing tutor!!!! Love your vid !!!!!
