Oh guys, guys...why do men have to make this so complicated??!! Just approach a cute girl as you would anyone who you meet and become friends with! There's no special formula! A girl just wants to be treated with respect and most girls would much rather become friends first with a decent guy who treats her like a friend first, then other things will naturally follow! Boots, Rhett? That can be too easily misheard as something else. As a girl, I'd recommend Link's advice. Mention talents, quirky things (like patches), or something they said. Talking about boots sounds a bit... pathetic and desperate, and potentially gay.

I think the best compliment is when a guy saw me laughing with my friends, then later he came up to me and said that I had the cutest laugh ever. Women want their worst assets to be adored by someone, our laugh.....our personality.....and our interests.
