@JulianComeau Check Yes Juliet has simple lyrical content and not much vocal range is required. On a song like Coffeeshop Soundtrack, lyrics are much deeper, and Alex obviously has a better stronger vocal range than Travis.

@JulianComeau Put Up Or Shut Up? Or The Party Scene? Yeah, both have AMAZING songs that require much more talent than this. If you're talking about Three Words To Remember, listen to the guitar solo in Memories That Fade Like Photographs, and tell me it's simple. This Girl's A Straight Up Hustler is a great song. Yes, I know this is from their first album, but lyrics are a bit cheesy for me, and there's less..emotion than ATL's songs. I love WTK, but they're a slick competition.

Just because they don't suck live doesn't mean they're great. I love We the Kings and I think Travis is a good signer but I prefer to see a band that has songs that require more talent that 'Check Yes Juliet.' Like Paramore, or Hey Monday, or even All Time Low.
