The Dream

Als ich "The Dream" schrieb und komponierte war ich in meine Geschichten vertieft. Deshalb ist der Hintergrund des Liedes auch ein Teil meiner Romane und Kurzgeschichten.

I dreamt a dream, and in this dream
I saw deep woods and emerald hills.
I saw golden sunlight shining through the trees.
I saw morning dew shimmering on the plants.

Chorus:
And the legends awoke,
rose above the unbelief.
They appeared like a dream
and healed our petrified hearts,
gave us back the faith in them.

I dreamt a dream, and in this dream
I saw silver figures, and they came to me.
They led me through the woods and showed me their home.
I was moved, when I saw their hidden vale.

And in my dreams
I saw the spirits of the world:
The fairies and the elves,
the angels in their gentleness,
and they preserved nature,
healed the souls and brought them hope.

Chorus

And when I woke up, I found peace in me.
The hope came back, that I had lost.
And I knew the spirits were there, in my dreams,
stayed forever in my thoughts and my heart.

Gave us back the faith in them.
