Subwoofer At School

This is a video of the very loud Mackie SWA1501 subwoofer with two Mackie SRM450's, at the school's Halloween dance.

The Mackie subwoofer has a 15" driver in a ported enclosure, and puts out around 125 DB's. So this is some of the loudest bass I've ever heard, in the mid 120 DB's.

It was really fun, and the bass was crazy! (The mids and highs were loud too).

where do you get all the funds for your equipment?

That's not my equipment, LOL. Those are the San Diego Dj's (actually I picked up a business card from a stack they had on a table), and their website says that they have another Mackie sub for really big gigs though. But yeah, I'm not a DJ, at least not yet. I have other things in mind, but a DJ would be really cool, especially because I like club music and really loud bass and turntables and the equipment and stuff LOL.

How old are you? I'm 13, I do mobile DJing and I'm looking at getting some mackie 18" subs.

I'm 15, and I would actually recommend Cerwin Vega, although I've never heard it in person, the reviews are 100% positive, I have no doubt that it's better than the Mackie subs. They are also very cheap, around $500 and the Mackies are almost $1200! Get multiple Cerwin Vegas if you want, because if you were planning on getting the Mackies, you could get 4 or 5 CV's for the price of two Mackie subs : ).

i herd the 18 inch version of this sub at a shop, they had 2 of them hooked up, and they turned them up almost all the way, it made the windows flex and everything else in the shop rattle like crazy, you could really feel the bass

@speakerlover13 I know they're awesome but they're overpriced and they could be louder if Mackie tried to redesign them. But they're still the loudest subs I've ever heard outside of Best Buy.

I'm still trying to get that VR3 video up. Sony was shutting down my computer because my computer couldn't handle the rendering probably because of a PSU or heat problem it has. I need to find a video editor that will render my video without rendering my computer turned off.
