How to do this glitch:
Go to Megaleg's Moon.
Do NOT use a Bullet Bill to break the glass.
Do a triple jump to the glass and do the third jump on the top of it.
When high in the air at the highest point, do a spin jump.
You should turn around and fall all the way to the Megaleg planet without using the Star Launcher.
Since you don't land on that platform, Bowser Jr. won't come to talk to you. Megaleg will be deactivated.
This is easier to do as Luigi since he jumps higher. It is possible to do this as Mario too.

You can do it off of the silver pillar with a backflip and spin jump.
