I did a clinical rotation on a Pediatrics unit, and the hospital used the Diaper Champ. It worked great - I hate to be graphic, but some of the poor kids on that floor had some pretty rough health issues which resulted in diapers that were more potent than normal diapers. But the Diaper Champ snuffed out all offending smells. Been meaning to get one for our kid.

I always go to my cousins house for thanksgiving and I slept in his little brothers room. And he was 2 and was in diapers. And I smelt something and so I walked to the trash can. In it were 3 full diapers in it. AND NO TOP!!!!!! It smelt terrible

We used cloth diapers on our daughter when she was a newborn right up until she was potty trained at 26 months. Now of course we had some disposables with us when we went out. It was'nt really that bad. I remember that the service that we went with was very good and would give us special bags which would not even smell after we sealed them and put them in a container which was included as well. I have to admit it was a bit more expensive but it was worth it.
