@xpandia of course senna started his carres around 7 years WHEN he went to F1!! Before that he drove in F Ford and F3. So he was known by Schumi before it. And of course Schumi said that senna inspired him as he was young, like Vettel says he is a fan of Schumi and that Schumi inspired him! ;-). He of course will NOT say Alonso is the best .. lololo. I know that because i understand german, right :-). That are facts, so shut -you- the crap m8 .. ;-)

@ xpania.. it is very normal that Schumi said "senna is better than him". One factor is that senna inspired him as Schumi was young (the 80`s) and it would be very strange when Schumi would say "I am the best" ;-).

Examples: Federer says Sampras is the best, Woods says Mickelson is the best, Armstrong says Merxs is the best, Ronaldo and Messi say Maradona is the best ... and so on.

LOL and tell that to Rosberg and listen what he says.. :-). "Rosberg only drives to beat Schumi's ass" LOL. ...

@soureysen you can't see Senna's magic by videos my friend... this was something outstanding that ANY F1 driver agrees. Only fans did not.

Since his death in 1994, every year there's a poll in F1 to see who is the best driver. Every single year, Senna wins. And he's dead since 1994. Can you see the depth in this? The magnitude? The... profound meaning he have for F1 ?

Every year, F1 set up a Senna's tribute museum in Monaco. I went there in 2007 and 2009. UNBELIEVEABLE.

@kingofkingz1979 What about Jim Clark ? everyone forgets him but Clark won 25 races, made 33 poles positions, 28 fastests laps, 32 podiums in 72 grands prix and he won 2 world championships. He died at the age of 32 after winning the first race of the 1968 season. So it means he could be in F1 10 years longer. Who can imagine what he could do ? nobody. And nobody can say who is the best driver ever. Senna is not the best. Schumacher is not the best. Clark is not the best. We just cant know.

if u noticed senna didnt blink of take her eyes off stewart and didnt seem to explain well and thing wiv schumi he thinks more about his awswers and more human and accpets he does things a bit close and that thing he said about have ex racers to judge incident now happens both had talants in their own ways and scumacher also say he tries to win and ayton says i win at all cost

Haha, I just love Schumi's classic excuse: "I didn't see him" :)) It makes me sad though seeing that most of the comments are about who's best. It's said that great people talk about ideas and average people talk about weather and who's best between Senna and Schumacher... I guess it's true

There's a longer clip of Senna's interview w/ Stewart (who had no factual support for his contention, by the way) where Senna tells him to look at the rest of the pack, as well as the leaders, and he will find the same frequency of contact - which is what Schumacher alludes to when he says everyone is criticizing him because his contact is amongst the leaders. Also, Schumacher's comment that there should be former drivers reviewing the race is exactly what they have today! Pretty interesting.

SCHUMACHER SAID " senna is my idol" and " senna is no1" in interviews.

SHUMI has won more tiltles coz he went all the way & never had a much rivals & competition while SENNA had several rivals & competition in his day and was short lived.

@schuf1 No chance! How can you even dream of making that statement. Don't take my word for it, do a you tube search for "senna top gear tribute" and check out who the actual drivers think was the best, including schumacher himself!

Because Ayrton was just to much talent back then. No one could match is talent. End of story. His pure abilitie, precision and sensibilitie for the world of formula 1 around him was simply unmatched. Back in 94 Senna was at least 0.300 ts faster a lap than Schuey with a faster and more all around stable machine. Incredible.
