Fatal L-39 Jet Crash Reno

Reno 07 - L39 hits wake turbulence in pack of jets, crashes in front of stands, this shot seconds after fireball. One brave, but unlucky pilot. The first part shows dust from the impact, smoke plume from the initial fireball, then smoke from the fire.
A secondary fire starts from a large fragment (landing gear I am told) that was projected forward.

This is the first time I have seen this or any other video displaying the crash that my cousin Brad Morehouse died in. I loved Brad with all my heart no one could have asked for a better friend, cousin or confidante. He was my dad's hunting partner and good friend. He was an honest businessman and perfectionist. If any one knew Brad you always went away from him smiling. I miss him soooo much. Thank you for letting me share.

Thanks for the comment, I , like every pilot, share your loss. I just got home from this years event and luckily it was accident free. The Jet class thrives and has become a big part of this event, I wish I had met your cousin another way.

@fsx737200 different event. The P-51 crashed this year, the Albatross jet in 2007 or 8 I believe. Let's hope that the air races are continued!
