Grasshopper

A bluegrass shuffle? Strumming with a flat pick? Who am I and what have I done with the real Bob Kilgore? It seems that my brother's tendency to absorb any and all musical styles is rubbing off on me. This tune is one of several new ones that we're working on for our next CD. It's a great show piece for the Harmonic Capo too. The tuning is Dadgad, with the capo engaged on the "adgad" strings. Transposing those strings up an octave in this tuning makes the guitar sound a bit like a mandolin. I hope you like it.

Thank you! The inspiration came from the mandolin sound that the capo creates with DADGAD tuning. I never thought I'd ever write something so much like blue grass as this.
