I know you were doing artistic portrayals but the "legs" usually attach to receptor proteins before causing the capsid to inject its genome in.

Ah I see. I've heard many great things about Maya. I have 3Ds Max but like Blender to you, it confuses me entirely lol. As for animation, I don't really deal with that as much, but its process is interesting to observe. I usually use Blender for the Game Engine or still renders, animation isn't the sharpest knife in my drawer so to speak.

Thanks,
I got the idea from the T4 Bacteriophage, it is a real thing, and it kills E.Coli by making them explode into lots of little new T4s!

But, but, but, T4 are dormant until they contact an e.coli surface, they do not swim by their long strands...

nice sound and picture but not to detail on the mechanisms at work

@biotekagr It's almost an artistic representation.

pretty cool animation and t4 models, especially for anim8or.
I never really got involved in that program...You might check out Blender 3D and give it a try, it seemed a lot easier for me than anim8or and it has plenty more useful features. Albeit, anim8or is made by 1 person and Blender by many, but maybe production is what counts.

Yeah, I have done a few things with blender.
I absolutely failed at it though! Anim8or is simpler, but the quality of creations are intensely worse.
But recently as I no longer have access to Anim8or, I have been working with Maya. So hopefully with that I shall progress into better animation, but thanks for the post! :-)
