Absolutely magical---a song for one another and especially for our children! Perhaps we should all play this song for our kids and those we love deeply, to let me them know how very much we believe in them! We all need to know that people believe in us and that we matter; this I believe, is an intrinsic need that is not always expressed..

In Piccadiy Gardens at the height of Simply Red, I saw Mick on his own walking around the city. I knew he had been on 'welfare' for four years before his fame. I knew he knew what poverty felt like. I knew he was massively talented. I knew he was 'down to earth'. I knew he deserved respect and so I left him in peace....but I was massively impressed that he came out into the world without any security at all. As we all know, there are a lot of nut jobs in this world. Mick Hucknall is a good man.

Though the Talking Heads did this song originally on their FEAR OF MUSIC album back in 1977, Mick gives it his spin and knocks it out of the park; such soulfulness that the original pales by comparison. Mick has the ability to take any song and makes it his. Too bad Mick hasn't been more acclaimed; unique sound and spirit.
