Audubon President John Flicker led the 109th Annual Christmas Bird Count in Central Park, part of a nation-wide Citizen Science initiative, and the oldest such volunteer program in the world. Data goes to Audubon's State of the Birds reports to help focus conservation initiatives. Mr. Flicker is joined for the tally at the Arsenal by NYC Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe, NYC Audubon Executive Director, Glenn Phillips, and veteran birder Irving Cantor, who did the count in 1935.
