One Minute Film School is a show devoted to filmmaking tips and tricks. Each week we give you a tutorial for free, easy to do effects as well as tips for making better videos.

This week, we teach you how to do the Cloning Effect for your videos.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm using Final Cut Pro for this tutorial, though you can do it in any editing program that will allow you to have more than 1 line of video.

If you have any questions, or have a problem you'd like to see a tutorial for, email James at jgarcia@ndistudios.com

  • hey can't like you share your final cut express thing to me?

  • no, because it's only for macs

  • i told alot of people of your video.. they all said they'll watch it.

  • thank you! that really means a lot. we promise, more episodes are coming! haha

  • um how can i download split vertical soft on my windows movie maker?

  • Not 100% sure on that one, I'm on a mac and no longer use windows movie maker, and have never used split vertical soft before. I did a little google searching though and it looks like there should be a few places online where you can download it.

  • Yeah, I went ahead and sent you a personal message with a link to some free programs to download.

  • well i don't have that money to buy it, but thanks, is there one like that but free?

  • The software I'm using is Final Cut Express. It's not free, but it's only a little over a hundred bucks or so, so it's pretty cheap in terms of editing software. That's if you're on a mac though. If you're on a PC, you've got a few options like Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas. You need a more advanced editor like one of the ones I listed, or you won't be able to do the effect, because you need it so that you can have 2 layers of video.

  • oh thanks and what is the soft ware you were using on your video. and is it free?
