I don't know. I agree with you. The person that told me this lives in New York where there is a large Jewish population.

It must be a matter of  context.

I just remembered something else.

Why is it offensive to say someone is a Jew?

We say "He is a christian", or "He is an atheist", why is it not offensive in that context?

If I have learned one thing from my extended family's patented dysfunction, it is this.

When two people you like argue and fight with each other, don't pick a side, all you will do is lose a friend.

People should respect that you don't want to antagonise one friend over another.

Going back to the main subject of the video, you do attract a lot of weirdos, don't you?
