My recent build used in the "In Pursuit of a Mile" video.
You'll see more of this rifle in some upcoming videos as well as an accuracy report very soon.

  • do you load your own ammo if so what loads do you use?

  • @ncsu349 yes sir, I load 210 Berger VLDs in Remington brass using RL17 and Fed 215 Magnum primers. It would be irresponsible to list the exact charge that I am using. Someone might blow their face off trying to duplicate what I've built. I would feel comfortable listing 54 gr as a place to start since Alliant doesn't have any load data for that bullet

  • Any line on where to get .300 saum mags for the Armalite?

  • @cth338mag yep. I got word from Armalite that the new Gen II mags work just fine and dandy with the .300 SAUM. I borrowed a couple and can verify that suggestion. Just make sure whatever you order is a Gen II mag and you should be good to go.

  • =D Nice to see someone that thinks outside the box. I am about to bombard you with questions!!!!! FIRST How much are the R.A.P.T.R. handles gonna run? Also how does the Tubb spring handle the saum pressures? Thinking about a second upper in 7WSM (my all time favorite round) 26" upper for my M110ish. Also thumbs up on using Berger!! What king of velocities you getting out of that mighty fine gasser? My bolt was a 26" 300 saum before my 7wsm rebarrel. Awesome Rig!!!! 2 thumbs up

  • @mrblaksix Tubb spring is kinda irrelevant since the adjustable gas block limits the gas so much, that the spring barely getting a work out. The glory goes to the gas block for making a rifle like this cycle smoothly.

I'm sending 210 Vld's at 2925 and could potentially hit 2950. I'll PM you about the RAPTR Grip as I'm working on a video review of that as well. Since it's just a prototype, I don't know about a price...the finalized design should be even better.

  • dude, im 17 and i think ur vids are fucking sick, keep makin more and i sent you an email today about ur dvd

  • Beautiful. I need to move out of california already so i can run a can.

  • @ONEILLOPS this weekend man. we're gonna try again, either for a kill or a bit farther. Checked the scope and I''ve only got 48 usable minutes. Might have to think about putting the 5.5-22x58 on her or getting another 20 MOA rail.

  • @LtJAWS Caliber of the month? I wouldn't have any idea. The .338 LM and .338 NM are pretty hot right now for long range target, but for hunting...any of the high bc 7mm's are the king of the hill... but I haven't heard about any monthly craze.

Personally, I start with the reason for the rifle, and then start looking at ballistics.

Drop a comment over on the .243WSSM video and I'll tell ya about her there.
