This is a ten year old installation. I was only called in to do the rooftop portion of this install because of my layout and sheet metal fabrication skills. The supply plenum on the underside of the unit was NOT my design. I was simply told to get it done and make it look as neat as possible.

  • did you fix the gas line should be solid iron pipe in my state its code:)

  • Earthquakes and rigid final gas connections don't jibe very well in my state.

  • Thank you.

  • Hey Bro just curious was that double wall pipe? Nice work !!!

  • That rooftop was breezy, but I'm pretty sure I mentioned that it is CircleLine duct. It's KD (knock down) lined with 1" thick round ductboard. That exposed duct needs to be touched up with duct sealant.

  • Nice work on the sheetmetal!.

I hope they decide to restore that system, a gas pipe, compressor and coil clean would be way better than scrapping it!

  • I hope they opt for repair, too. The new installers we have would hack the living daylights out of my sheet metal work.

  • I haven't worked in DHS, but I'm very familiar with Palm Springs, La Quinta, Indio, Coachella, Indian Wells and Cathedral City. That other video was taken right off I-10 at the Indian Canyon exit (a few miles east of White Water and S62. This video was done in Malibu.

  • It's a 5T Trane on a residential flat roof.
