Great review Thanks.

Hi Peter, nice video although I think you are wrong about the pegs. They are Aliminium rather than Titanium. But I totally agree with you about the shape being too painfull to push against, either by hand or using your foot. I suggest to people they use a Motorcycle side stand plate as a way of preventing the pole sinking into the ground, what's your solution to solve the bevelled pole end issue? I use shockcord on the small base tabs, for max stability in wind. Cheers Bob

Got Hex 3r Golitge 6-7 years ago and used many nights in 4 seasons. Despite your relative lack of experience, with product.... I have learned from your commentary to consider means of opening front in much greater configuration. THANKS!!
Your are doing a bit better job for me anyway, than your UK compatriot "OUTDOOR STATION."

@PHARRAOH Hello Sorry i have just noticed all your comments. Thats a good tip about the coin to push them in with. I have now used the tent in reasonably strong winds (about 25-30mph) and it held up fine. i have used it in snow once now and it was fine with snow around the edge (the snow was only a 4 inches deep and it didnt snow during the night).
What's your height, please? Or the height of the person lying down at the 0:40 min, in case it's not you :)
Thanks for the video. It's the only one showing tent details and possibilities.
Cheers

@CipM8 Hi. i have found it a great tent so far after using a couple of times in the brecon beacons and a few times in the new forest (including in snow and 30mph windes). I am 5'10'' and find i have room to spear when lying down. with the nest i think you would have to be over 6'3'' to touch the outer (but there may be some contact with the inner).

It can certainly be a 3 person tent as long as one camper doesn't mind being staked by the tent pole.

@dinnerandashow i find using it as a palace for just me works well! i half unpeg the nest, so the back half of the tent is sleeping seating and dry storage covered by the nest and the front half is for entrance, cooking and wet gear storage. I am going to buy (or make) a custom half nest for this purpose which will have solid sides for winter warmth and a thicker ground sheet for sleeping in puddles (i havnt had any leaks from the surrent ground sheet but i just dont trust it!)

Great job on the review. Made my purchase easier. Where did you get the pegs with the flat top? I have not yet seen these, and I think they are brilliant.

@soulful66 Hello. I brought some alu V pegs (the ones with the flat bit at the top) and the alu skewer pegs from millets but plenty of places sell them online (about £6 i think). i prefer them to the titanium ones that came with it as i find them easier to pull out and push in, i think the strap is less likely to slip off and they are only 4 grams heavier than the titanium ones. I use the V pegs for the main adjustable peg points and the skewer pegs for the mid peg points.
