9C1 is the factoy code for the police

package chevy had on the caprices. They are the same as the impala SS but with all the upgrades already on them. Like brakes sways Bilstiens etc. They have an LT1 350ci. engine with cast iron heads rated at 270hp and 330lbs tourque

stock. But the Lt1 with very little mods. Is potentialy a monster. You can easily get 500+ out of them. with mostly bolt ons. not bad for a V8 that gets around 20+ mpg on the freeway.

I don't know anything about the caprices so I thought I'd ask. What's the 9C1 stand for and what are they running ( displacement,gear ratios, transmission etc..)?

Nice..! Both my caprices run mid to low 13's with Just minor bolt ons so far. And they have over 140K on them. Can't Beat the 9C1 package..! What upgrades have you done on yours so far...?
