@SerbAtheist "asectomy is far more extreme than abortion" ?? Abortion is far more extreme, vasectomy is a very simple surgery. Condoms don´t always work, but work MOST of the time. There's no excuse for not using them just because they can fail sometimes (properly used, their reliability is boosted even more).

@SerbAtheist Care to show me where did I deny that parent should be able to have a DNA test? I'm NOT talking about fraud cases, I'm talking about CONFIRMED parents (at least in my country, a DNA test in these kind of divorce legal fights for custody, so this fraud is not usual for me to see).
You´re bringing a new subject and accusing me that my arguments suck, when they're not used in the scenario you proposed (fraud, that should be penalized heavily to women commiting it).

@javichuyutuv Well technically, since the woman can choose the abortion or not, the woman is the one responsible for the child being born. She is also fully responsible for her fertility with the advent of female-only birth control. A man simply does not have sufficient information or control in this process to be responsible. Condoms don't always work, and vasectomy is far more extreme than abortion. So, why don't you say to women: if you don't want such a burden, have an abortion.

@javichuyutuv "legal duty to your son, no matter who gets the custody. Why are you not able to understand such a basic principle? " The basic principle is whenever you have responsibilities you also have some rights. A parent has a legal and moral duty to be a PARENT, not a walking wallet. If people are going to be by law FORCED to pay for a child, they should be allowed to 1) test the paternity of the child 2) obtain joint custody for the child. 50/50 should be the default.

@javichuyutuv 1) See, for you it's impossible for men to get raped, especially by women. You're sexist against your own gender. Male VICTIMS of statutory rape are forced to pay child support. 2) Well it's not punished, and the husband is forced to pay support for children that aren't his. 3) Yeah, your "explanation" sucks. 4) Well there is no control under the current system. 5) It's sexist to reframe these injustices as avoiding duty; BTW women avoid paying child support more often than men!
-
@SerbAtheist 1)Male victims of rape? Sounds so impossible to me, but hey, even if it happens, it should be treated the same way as female being raped.
2) Paternity fraud? I agree, it should be penalized always, with jail, but the child should not pay, only the adult commiting the fraud.
3) Already explained a few minutes ago.
4)Agree, there should be control that the money is spent on the child, not the ex wife vanity.
5) Sexist? I´m male, and you´re being sexist by trying to avoid your duty.

@ColdVolcano22 Again, this has ALREADY been analyzed, and the more civilized the country, the less likely that the parent will get a free ride after a divorce, it's simple, you divorce from the wife, not from your son, so you still have a legal duty to your son, no matter who gets the custody. ¿Why are you not able to understand such a basic principle? The law in most civilized countries, and the common sense, dictate that.

My ex has my son sleeping on two thin matresses while she has a new bedroom suit and 50 inch TV in her room and she pays for it through rent a center with the child support.

Parents should share kids 50% mom 50% dad both people should pay child support both parents should get to spend time with kids they should be in your house 1/2 the time
@u2hubbard My views? Abandoning a child is about MY VIEW?
.
Killing somebody is also a "business of other individuals"?
.
When you abandon a kid, you harm ANOTHER HUMAN BEING, not yourself. Will you be able to understand this?
You harm the abandoned kid, you harm the entire society.
.
If you don't want to support a child, then WEAR A CONDOM or have a vasectomy. How hard can that be? What's the problem with that? EXPLAIN?
.
Or you think that being IRRESPONSIBLE is a 'human right'? EXPLAIN PLEASE.
