The radiometer is a simple device that works on the principles of heat transfer. Its construction is made up of a small inverted glass tube which rested on a sharp needle head so that the glass tube can spin freely. The glass tube has four square fins attached to it, with each square fin having a dark-coloured surface on one side and a shiny metallic surface on the other. This whole structure is encased in a partially evacuated glass bulb. When a filament lamp close to the radiometer, the glass tube will rotate about the needle it is resting on.
Reflective light. Put a flat black tube around it and see what happens.
