Dulce et Decorum Est

Dulce et Decorum Est, a poem written by Wilfred Owen during the First World War, set to music. Originally a letter addressed to his mother with the message "Here is a gas poem done yesterday, (which is not private, but not final)".

I sent him the clip saying I tried but I want to do something happy. He replied with a re-reading the next day, exactly as I imagined it, and we went on (as far beyond 'good enough' as I've been) from there.


The two WWI photos were found while image-searching "WWI image public domain". Unfortunately I was not able to find further credit or details. I sincerely tried.
