People sell the most expensive things in their lives — their house — typically with very unflattering photos. In this video, I photograph my own kitchen in a style that I think would help sell the house.

  • Do you preffer to shoot real estate without a flash, except for the umbrella flash?

  • @lozagon I would never use the pop-up flash (one of my cameras doesn't even have one, anyway), but I'd have no issues using an on-camera external flash bounced off a wall if that worked for a particular situation. I know someone who does some real estate photography nearly always using flash that way.

  • thanks for this information, I found it very helpful!

  • This is great for night time but don't put the lights on in the daytime!!! unless its a low power lamp or they are spotlights else you make the room look too dark or you'll get big yellow rings around the light - because in the day when light is flying through the window you don't want to blow them out you could also have got over the purple by setting a flash to fire off the far ceiling in that room which would replicate with more control what natural light would through the window

  • do you use the mirror lock up option to minimize camera vibaration?
