It was never about immigration. The bill was designed to help ANYONE, regardless of immigration status, who is having health problems as a result of being a first responder at the attack site. The Republicans wanted something tacked onto it saying that illegal immigrants be barred from being included - which is an assinine reason. I mean how many illegals are we talking about here? That's why they held it up?? Totally idiotic.

Rush is full of it on this. King was blocking the 9/11 first responder bill because he wanted to add an amendment that had to do with immigration. It was totally pointless. Rush complains that Democrats had years to pass this thing, but doesn't even bother to offer any valid reason why Republicans should oppose it. King deserved the scolding he received. He was using the 9/11 first responders bill to demagogue the immigration issue. Sorry, but that's wrong.

Companies on the brink of extinction paying back billions in stimulous money. We're creating more small businesses and millionaires than ever, and we have companies sitting on trillions in profits. The problem I see are the banks we saved not loaning money and the companies like Koch bros whose wealth rose $11 bil. while laying off thousands over 2 yrs
