This is my first successful try of fixing/creating threads on cast aluminium with the techni-2000 brazing rods (they call it brazing but at 380'C it's high temperature soldering). The difference between this attempt and previous ones is that this time around i ditched the propane torch and used a MAPP torch (bernz-o-matic ts8000 for the curious) which burns a good 400'C hotter than propane does. This is one of those times where there is *NO* substitute for buying the right equipment.
