My Union Is Evil - Paralyzed Man Battles His Union - UAW Local 259

My name is John Meagher. I'm a 24 year old man who was recently paralyzed in a horrible motorcycle accident. Throughout my ordeal my union UAW local 259 and their lawyers have behaved inhumanely and barbarically. They are mercilessly trying to enforce a union rule that would give them the right to take away any award I may potentially recover from the driver who hit me in order to reimburse themselves. From the moment I was lying in ICU with a torn spinal cord they have been pressuring me to sign a "subrogation" and held a legal gun to my head with the threat that they would not pay any of my medical expenses and continuously refused to approve my desperately needed rehabilitative care. They're out of control and need to be stopped. Unions are suppose to be a brotherhood forged to protect it's members from the powerful interests that might take advantage of them, unfortunately as it turns out, my union is the powerful interest I need protection from. Please contact the UAW headquarters in Detroit and UAW local 259 in Long Island, New York and tell them to stop ruthlessly imposing the subrogation in my case. I am including a link below to the union's YouTube video showing their lavish new offices. They have no problem carelessly spending on a new Man Cave / Union hang out, but can't provide dues paying members with the proper medical coverage. They should all be ashamed of themselves.

Not true at all.Your health care premiums are not paid by your dues.When a third party is involved like no fault it is there responsibility to pay first.Sounds like they're trying to avoid another case of double dipping.That "lavish man cave" is an old house that saves thousands a year for meetings and negotiations instead of renting space at a conferance center.I'm sorry this happened to you but tell the truth.YOUR BILLS ARE NOT GOING UNPAID!!!.
