"In the Rough" is a "trailer-vid" for the self-titled story, "Book II: In the Rough--Vermissen." It's not like most trailers, but it's not necessarily a music video either. So...like a hybrid of sorts.

After "Honestly," contact between Hunter and Dustin is spastic, but the relationship is crumbling. As more and more misfortune befalls Dustin, he falls deeper and deeper into a depression that eventually spirals out of the control after the death of his mother Lee (portrayed by Amy Lee in the video). "In the Rough" bridges the gap between "Honestly" and "Lithium," shedding light on previous mysteries and unanswered questions.

Read the story here: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3960453/1/Book_II_In_the_Rough

Featuring the songs: "My December," by Linkin Park; "Far Away," by Nickelback; and "Haunted," by Kelly Clarkson.

NOTE: I apologize for the quality. I was 99% sure YouTube would upload this as HD, but...apparently not. The quality is completely shot and some of the timing got screwed up. The titles may also be a little difficult to read, so I'll work on hosting this in HD elsewhere. Sorry everyone!

  • Nice work on the story line and the VO went well together

The effects were really nice but kind of made it hard to get the true meaning of the story Overall it was done really well

  • I like it, but at the same time I feel like there were a few times that it got a bit too flashy. I loved the first two "parts", persay. Like PunkPink said, the voiceovers were very well placed. After that, I felt like there was a little too much going on. I understood Dustin's pain, but also was unsure of what to watch. Overall, though, I do like it.

Welcome back to the world of videos, Pat :)

  • The voiceovers in this are AMAZING. Seriously stunning, I was so shocked. Wish I knew the series as well as you do to pick those out dude. And the effects weren't shot to hell at all- I think the quality was still decent, but mostly because of the way you didn't overdo it. Really well done.
