1990 Talon Tsi oil pressure crank

First cranking trying for oil pressure after rebuild. Turns out that it needs to be hand primed.

I had my 90 Talon TSI to 220KpH(135 MpH) in fifth gear and at 6000 Rpms and i knew it could do a bit more but ran out of the straight stretch. Nice car by the way. I so miss my talon as the timing belt broke and destroyed the engine.

I've only been brave enough to nail 105. Of course, then I blew off the intake hose and for a second I thought I snapped the belt. I was slightly irritated but relieved to see it was minor. It's a fun one, but very prone to corrosion, which has led me on more than one wild goose chase.

Yeah, they are smoking fast. And unless I get lucky enough to go to a track, I don't think I'll ever be going that fast either.

So far, on country roads, I've only had it up to 85. It gets there quick, but there's a loose ball joint, so I can't push it. And I'm in college in Cleveland while the car is in IL, so it's kind of hard to get a lot done very quickly. My bro just got a new camcorder, so I might make a trip home and record some more. This clip dulls me to tears.

How did you hand prime it?

Ouch. With a close tolerance engine like the 4G63, timing problems can screw some stuff up. By the by, the car locked up one balance shaft, so we took the belts off and it's running fantastic at 15 psi so far...

i have a 1990 Tsi awd turbo egal talon....my car did the same thing...and the timing was off
